ช่วงนี้ TRN กำลังคิดวางแผนว่าปีนี้จะมีแนวทางการหนุนเสริมเรื่องการใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตเพื่อการแสวงหาและพัฒนาความรู้ที่หลากหลายอย่างไร อยากชวนคนอื่นคิดด้วยว่าปีนี้เราอยากให้เกิดอะไรขึ้นบ้างในโลกออนไลน์ไทย เบื้องต้นที่ TRN ได้แนวๆคร่าวๆ แบ่งเป็น Ecosystem layers คล้ายๆในหนังสือ the wealth of networks ดังนี้
Physical layer
- Alternative Public Wifi Network ก็เริ่มมีแนวคิดอย่าง FON ที่น่าจะเริ่มกันได้เลย
- พยายามให้อะไรคล้ายๆ One Laptop Per Child หรือคล้ายๆกันของ Intel ให้เกิดขึ้นใช้จริงในโรงเรียนไทย
- Thai Resilient Internet Plan มาช่วยกันวางแผนว่าทำอย่างไรเน็ตไทยถึงจะมีความต้านทาน หรือ resilient กับการแทรกแซงของอำนาจเผด็จการทุกชนิด เช่นมาดูว่าต้องใช้ท่อไหนต่อไปไหนหากมีกรณีการปฏิวัติในอนาคตและคราวนี้เขาจะปิดเน็ต
Meta layer
- หนุน Thai Wikipedia และชุมชนแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้อื่นๆเช่น วิชาการ.com หรือ gotoknow.org
- Aggregator engine คล้ายๆ answers.com
- Thai Technorati เพื่อเชื่อมโยง จัดการ และกระจายfeed ต่างๆจากทั่วประเทศ + Public Ping Server
- Creative Commons Thai Porting & Promotion เพื่อเสริมเรื่องลิขสิทธิ์การแลกเปลี่ยนของกันออนไลน์ ตอนนี้ธรรมนิติทำจะเสร็จแล้ว จะมาช่วยกัน promote อย่างไรดี
- Thai OpenID ใช้ username/password share กัน อันนี้ mk เคยเสนอไว้
- OpenCare ผลักดันให้เป็นระบบกลางภาคประชาชนในการเชื่อมโยงและจัดการข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับภาวะวิกฤต
Content layer
- Thai bloggers – new media directory & online portal เชื่อมโยงเครือข่าย blogger ไทยให้หากันเจอ และให้คนภายนอกหางานเขียน หรือ video podcast ดีๆเจอ
- Thai Open Base ฐานความรู้เปิดที่ให้ทุกคน up file ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความรู้อะไรรูปแบบไหนก็ได้เป็น open knowledge repository
- ผลักดัน Open Courseware ในเมืองไทยให้เกิดตัวอย่างจริงๆจังๆทั้งในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยและโรงเรียน
- Open creative media repository ที่ใช้ creative commons คล้ายๆ fuse.in.th ให้มีมากขึ้นๆ
- Thai TED Talk เป็นที่รวมวิดิโอของคนสุดยอดหรืออะไรที่น่าสนใจมากๆออนไลน์ที่เกี่ยวกับเมืองไทยหรือคนไทยควรจะรู้
- ระบบข้อมูลทางการเมืองที่เปิดใช้ประชาชนเข้าถึงได้ เข้าใจง่าย และมีส่วนร่วมได้ เช่น politicalbase.in.th
- ทำสรุปconcept สำคัญๆ เช่น long-tail, wikinomics, massive collaboration ฯลฯ ให้คนทั่วไปเข้าใจได้ทั้งเป็นหนังสือและ online
Social movement support layer
- พยายามจัดตั้งอะไรคล้ายๆ Electronic Frontier Foundation ในเมืองไทย เพื่อหนุนเสริมและปกป้องโลกออนไลน์ของไทยให้มีเสรีภาพบนฐานความรับผิดชอบ มีการดูแลต่างๆเช่นกรณี blogger ถูกฟ้อง
- จัดตั้ง Micro Social Venture Capital ที่ลงทุนด้านต่างๆที่กล่าวมากับองค์กรที่ทำประโยชน์ให้สังคมแต่สร้างรายได้อยู่ได้ด้วยตัวเอง
- ผลักดันให้เกิดเครือข่าย citizen journalism ของแท้อย่างเป็นเรื่องเป็นราว สามารถกลายเป็น alternative media platform แทนสื่อกระแสหลักได้บ้าง บางส่วนอาจจะทำให้อยู่ได้เลยคล้ายๆ nowpublic.com
- หนุนให้เกิดการเจอกันของคนในวงการเว็บใหม่ๆ เช่น YouFEST และ BarCamp

ผมว่าสิ่งนี้ ยังถูกแบ่งแยกออกจากบุคคลภายนอกอยู่

ผมคิดว่า น่าจะมีการต่อยอด หรือ เอามาใช้ประโยชน์ได้จริง ๆ
นอกจากนี้ผมคิดว่ายังเป็นช่องทางอีกทาง ที่จะทำให้
ผู้ที่สนใจ ได้เข้าร่วมกับงานวิจัยที่ตัวเองสนใจด้วย
งานวิจัยหรือ senior project เท่าที่ผมเห็นมา ส่วนใหญ่

Open courseware คือการจัดระบบสื่อการเรียนการสอนในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ฯลฯ ให้คนทั่วไปที่สนใจสามารถเข้าถึงได้โดยง่ายและมีประสิทธิภาพครับ โดยเน้นการเป็นระบบเปิดที่ใครก็ได้สามารถนำไปใช้เรียนรู้ต่อได้ แต่มีการดูแลเรื่องคุณภาพและมาตรฐานของสื่อต่างๆที่เผยแพร่ครับ ลองไปดูของ MIT ซึ่งเป็นต้นแบบได้ที่
