เมื่อเช้านั่งอ่านนิตยสาร Scientific American Mind (Vol. 19) ที่ติดตามมาสักพักแล้วพบเรื่องน่าสนใจหลายเรื่อง หนึ่งในนั้นก็คือเรื่องของความรักและการถึงจุดสุดยอดทางเพศของผู้หญิง เลยคิดว่าต้องเอามาสรุปให้คนอื่นรู้บ้าง เพราะช่วงหลังๆผมไปช่วยแผนงานสุขภาวะทางเพศที่ สสส. อยู่บ้างแล้วพบว่าเรื่องเพศของผู้หญิงนั้นเป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่ถูกสังคมกดดันจนผิดปกติไปซะเยอะ
ผู้ชายไทยจำนวนมากมีความเชื่อที่เกิดจากการอ่านสื่อลามกจำนวนมากว่าผู้หญิงจะสมยอมและถึงจุดสุดยอดหากสามารถบังคับให้สอดใส่เข้าไปได้สำเร็จ ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าเรื่องนี้เป็นเรื่องที่ไม่จริง นอกจากนั้นผู้หญิงไทยส่วนใหญ่ยังยอมรับว่าไม่ค่อยจะถึงจุดสุดยอดทางเพศเท่าใดนัก และผู้ชายก็ไม่ค่อยสนใจก็เลยยิ่งแย่เข้าไปอีก
จากงานวิจัยล่าสุดที่ Genea University, Switzerland และ University of California, Santa Barbara, U.S. พบว่าผู้หญิงที่กำลังมีความรักกับคู่นอนของตัวเองนั้น ยิ่งรักมากเท่าไหร่ ก็จะยิ่งถึงจุดสุดยอดง่ายขึ้นและมีคุณภาพความพึงพอใจมากขึ้นเท่านั้น ซึ่งเกิดจากการที่สภาวะการเข้าสู่จุดสุดยอดของผู้หญิงนั้นขึ้นอยู่กับสมองมากกว่าร่างกาย (อวัยวะเพศและอวัยวะที่เกี่ยวข้อง) ยิ่งอยู่ในความรักก็ยิ่งจะสามารถกระตุ้นเนื้อที่ของสมอง (brain area) ให้เกิดปฏิกริยาได้มาก โดยเฉพาะในส่วน left angular gyrus ซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่เก่ี่ยวกับความทรงจำและอารมณ์ความรู้สึก
ดังนั้นก็อาจจะเป็นสิ่งที่ผู้ชายควรจะระลึกไว้ว่าความรักและความเอาใจใส่นั้นสำคัญต่อความรู้สึกทางเพศของผู้หญิงมาก ไม่ใช่อย่างที่ผู้ชายจำนวนมากรู้สึกซึ่งเกิดจากความเข้าใจผิดว่าไม่ว่าตัวเองจะทำตัวเลวร้ายแค่ในขอให้เก่งในห้องนอนก็พอ ในขณะที่ผู้หญิงบางคนก็อาจจะต้องรับรู้ว่าการมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับคนที่เรารักนั้นจะเกิดคุณภาพของความสุขมากกว่าการเปลี่ยนคู่นอนไปเรื่อยๆซึ่งอาจจะได้เพียงปริมาณไม่ได้เกิดคุณภาพ จนอาจจะเกิดกลายเป็นการเสพติดเพศสัมพันธ์อย่างไม่ลืมหูลืมตาในที่สุด
จริงๆเรื่องความรักที่ทำให้เกิดอารมณ์ร่วมในผู้หญิงนั้นก็เป็นที่รู้และเชื่อกันมานานแล้ว แค่นอนนี้ brain science มาช่วยพิสูจน์เพิ่มเติมเท่านั้นเองครับ
